This cabin has been a labor of love for my husband and I and we have thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the remodel and design. For a long time we dreamed of an A-Frame cabin. This specific design has taken us from checking out properties in Washington to Arkansas but God is good and blessed us with this one about an hour and a half from our hometown in Dallas, Texas.

Many members of our family lent a helping hand with construction, cleaning, and design. So we feel incredibly blessed and honored to host you during your stay. 

One of the most important aspects of the cabin was that it would be a place to slow down, to relax, to reflect, for this reason, there is not a whole lot of “technology” in the cabin. We want you to enjoy the space, enjoy the sounds of nature and the calling of the trees and water. We want you to slow down from your fast pace at home and enjoy these moments to recharge. 

We also wanted a cabin that showcased community and kindness. You will notice the hand soaps and hand lotions in the restroom are by Thistle Farms. They are an organization that provides housing, healing, and economic freedom for women survivors of trafficking, prostitution and addiction. We are constantly looking at ways and means to participate in building up community, especially women and children.
